Things are afoot, again!

Today, I booked two trips, one for next weekend, is the first of many to come, to Ithaca, NY where my dear friends Tom & Sue have relocated from San Antonio. The second trip was my purely selfish, and entirely needed solo getaway to Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo for Thanksgiving weekend. I’m so jazzed about these trips. And totally in need of the de-stressing they’ll provide. Ithaca (actually outside Ithaca) is a rural, solar powered house, with outdoor showers and an outhouse. Ixtapa, is a drinks inclusive resort with an infinity pool and a swim-up bar. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh to both.

Tomorrow I’m hitting the Greenmarket early in the hopes of finding ingredients for a meal worthy of the bottle of wine I brought back from Burgundy. I decided that tomorrow is the day, it’s been 3 months since the trip and I lust for this bottle of wine. Hopefully I’ll find things for several meals during the week as well. Recipes will be carefully notated and posted.

And this weekend, hopefully, I’ll also have the time to write about last weekend in Detroit. Oh. My. Dears. THE FOOD!
