I was wandering aimlessly today through the Murray Hill section of Manhattan and decided I wanted to have a nice sit-down meal. First I came across a diner, the menu while tempting was not what I was in the mood for so I kept walking, all of about ten feet, when I walked up to a window display and started reading the menu, realized that is was Lebanese and I hadn’t had any Lebanese since leaving Los Angeles, so I walked right in and got myself a table.
Byblos was fantastic. I had Baked Kibbie in yogurt sauce. It’s lamb stuffed with pine nuts and bulgur wheat, served in a bowl the yogurt sauce could better be described as a yogurt broth. Great, attentive service and a delicious meal. Saved the day, the weather didn’t hurt either.
