The first week

Officially started and the first week is over. On the whole it was good, though there were a few rough spots. Nearly burning the main dish on my first day… The oven not properly igniting on my second, which could have blown up but instead just blew the door open. Teachers acting like they don’t know I have a budget and trying to get me to do costly extras “Oh we must have ____ at all times.”  Fill the blank in with any number of expensive items.

On the whole the week was good the kids like my food and I got the job done, within a reasonable measure of on time, in budget, and tasty. That’s what matters.
