I will never ever peel a potato again!

LOL This is how I was taught to peel potatoes.
I skipped the ice water part myself, I don’t have time for that, I just gave them a good rinse with cold water.
I never thought of scoring it, but this is how we were raised to peel potatoes. I remember the first time my husband bought a potato peeler, I was like, “What’s that for?!” Also, the ice is probably better than my way of holding the potato under running water and sliding the skin off. I sometimes get water-logged potatoes.
Blanch and shock! Thats the way I used to peel potatoes for potato salads. Cute video
